Here's my story.
I'm Dawid Stronczak. Right now I'm a Senior Engineering Manager at Remitly in Kraków, where my teams are building the foundation of Remitly's money and accounts platform - the core infrastructure that moves money for millions of customers across 170+ countries.
Over 15 years in tech, I've spent the last 10 in leadership. I scaled Glovo's Warsaw engineering hub from 10 to 100 engineers as Site Leader. At Flo (the world's largest health app for women, 70M+ MAU), I led the Virtual Assistant AI feature and the Health Chat experience. Earlier in my career, I built and led teams at Sabre, Motorola, and Guidewire.
I hold an MBA from St. Gallen Business School and Krakow School of Business UEK. My dissertation - "Behavioral Aspects of Suboptimal Decision Making of Leaders in the Tech Industry," defended with honors - is the foundation of my Decision Review service.
I speak at conferences when the topic is right. Past stages include 4Developers Warsaw, Lead Innovation Day Paris, Devoxx Greece, Devoxx Poland, and AgileByExample.
Outside of work I'm based in Kraków, raising my son Maks, riding my motorbike, playing chess, doing improv comedy on stage, and reading more books than I should admit.
